Eagles, Not Crows: Defending Pakistan’s Sovereignty Against the New Imperialism.

Iqbal Latif had written an exclusive column which is titled “The Question: No Pakistani Answers: Do you want Pakistan to become Iran?”

It is an appeal to Pakistanis to toe the line of America and Israel and oppose Iranian policies. It is a warning to Pakistanis not to side with Iran. The letter is well written from worldly view point. It says if we want to have luxurious life, enjoy material prosperity and avoid American sanctions, we must stand with America and fight Iran in American war. He also stressed to stand with Saudi Arabia and Gulf states as we need them for our financial betterment and our workers are earning millions in these countries. His column reflects that if we want to live, then live like slaves and enjoy life. He has also severally criticized the faith of Iranian martyrdom and regarded it a theological exploitation.

The question is that Pakistan is not a partisan state in this issue. Pakistan is playing very positive and fruitful role to end war and save the world from international crises. The present government is very cautious and is doing best to ensure peace in the region. The defence pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is not against any Muslim country. Its spirit is to protect the Holy Places from the attack of Israel. Is Iran not a Muslim country? Is Iran going to attack our Holy Places?

If Israel attacks our Holy Places, Iran without any Defence Pact with Saudi Arabia, will be the first country to invade Israel and protect Saudi Arabia as Iran is fighting against Israel and helping the Palestinians on ideological basis. Iran is an Islamic country, while all other countries are Muslim countries. In Muslim countries we have either monarchy, military rule or capital democracy. There is a difference between Islamic country and a Muslim country.

The Holy Quran in Surah “The Spider” in verse 46 says:

“And do not argue with the People of the Book except in the best way, unless it be with those among them who are oppressors”.

The people who do not fight oppressors, are themselves oppressors as they indirectly abet the oppression. Is Iran oppressor or Israel and America are oppressors? America and Israel are the enemies of Islam. They have created problems for the whole Muslim world. No nation of conscience, dignity and faith can bow before American international hegemonic designs.

Donald Trump in January 2026, attacked Venezuela and kidnapped its president. Is it not banditry? Is it not shear madness? Is it not the misuse of power? Is such heinous act permissible by international law and UN Charter? Is it not tantamount to the fact that might is right? Is the law of jungle the law of Donald Trump? Is this act not against American democratic principles? Has not Donald Trump misused power and defamed America? Does the power of America, imposing economic sanctions and military might permit Donald Trump to behave like ferocious kings? But in America, there are the people who oppose America-Israel nexus. They are the people of wisdom, justice and democracy.

Latif Iqbal teaches us the lesson of crows and not of eagles. Pakistan is neither Palestine nor Iran. Pakistan is a nuclear power and its army is one of the best armies of the world. We should not be undermined. We should not be scared by the madness of Donald Trump. America should not forget the defeat faced in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Moreover, the Americans are a living nation and majority of them is diametrically against the undemocratic policies of Trump. Pakistan has very wise and peaceful diplomatic policy. We have good relations with America, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia and Iran. Why should we poke nose into others affairs and become partners or partisans? We are playing peaceful role in international affairs and that is our responsibility and diplomatic success. We want to live with dignity as an independent nation, not as the slaves of any country.

Field Marshal Ayub Khan had written a book titled “Friends: Not Masters”, and he was punished for it and thrown out of office by America. He himself told me about it that it was American establishment that got annoyed for his making Pakistan an independent country. Pakistan has good policy. Pakistan must not become the partner in this war. We need to morally side with the oppressed. We must oppose the oppressors. We are the men of faith. Islam ordains to fight the perpetrators of injustice and oppression.

God forbid, if the Third World War breaks out, as the policies of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are dragging the world into the inferno of war, then Pakistan will be in a great fix if it sides with America. As America is a collaborator and abettor of Israel, the Pakistanis will never allow the government to side with the evil nexus of America and Israel. Besides, our geopolitical situation is very sensitive. Pakistan has its borders with China, Russia, India, Afghanistan and Iran. All these countries are anti- America. How Pakistan can afford a partisanship while surrounded by anti- American forces? The government of Pakistan is very cautiously taking the steps towards peaceful settlement between America and Iran. We must appreciate the wiser path chosen by our political leaders and military establishment.

Donald Trump while boasting has said that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and UAE are supporting America against Iran. Why these countries should support the supporter and abettor of Israel? Only for two reasons: first, American army which is deployed in these states and their military basis are basically meant to protect their kingship. Second; they have economic interests under the shadow of America. These countries are least bothered about the Muslim world. What is happening in Kashmir? What is the situation in Palestine? What happened with the Muslims of Bosnia?

In Bosnia, the Muslim babies were baked alive in hot cauldrons of oil and asked their parents to eat the flesh of their babies. On their refusal, they were shot dead. The breasts of ladies were chopped. The young girls were raped and then killed. The unprecedented atrocities were committed on the civilians of Bosnia but no Muslim country raised the voice against these Serbian crimes. These Arab countries are least bothered. They only know how to protect their monarchies. Islam says; the Muslims are like brethren. They are one community and are like a family. When the people of Gaza were being massacred, no Muslim country supported them except Iran. Iran is being punished and destroyed only for standing with Palestine against Israeli oppression. Are other Muslim countries sleeping or they are dead? Of course, they are nincompoops and are dead skeletons.

Last year a video showed two Israeli soldiers were beating a Palestinian boy of twelve years over the roadside in Palestine and one Israeli soldier had put his foot on his neck and suffocated him to death. He was crying and saying he couldn’t breathe. But he was not left until he was dead. The Israeli soldiers were cheering on his death. Two days ago, a baby of eighteen months was tortured in the presence of his father. He was burnt with burning butts of cigarettes. Is there any one to stop Israel from such inhumane acts? No one except Iran which is being invaded by America with the abetment of Arab states.

The height of shameless attitude is that recently an Israeli official said that he is not ashamed of genocide in Gaza and has no sympathy with the Palestinian children who are being killed because when they will grow up, they will fight against us. So better, we kill them in their infancy. Is there any logic or human sensibility in this nonsense? It was Pharaoh of Egypt who had ordered to kill the male babies of the Israeli tribe as he was told that the man from that tribe will end his kingship. Moses was saved miraculously when his mother threw him in the river, packed in a wooden box. The story is mentioned in the Holy Quran as well. Are the Israelis repeating the practice of Pharaoh in Palestine? Is Netanyahu the follower of Prophet Moses or of Pharaoh? The American Jewish scholar Jacob Shapiro has rightly said that Netanyahu has nothing to do with Judaism. Of course, he is the follower of Pharaoh and it is the religious duty of the Israelis to finish his fascist satanic regime.

In an interview Benjamin Netanyahu had said that Iran is the first target of Israel and the next target is Pakistan as both countries are nuclear powers. The official map of Israel shows our holy lands Mecca and Medina as the part of Israel. How shameful and sorrowful is that some Muslim countries such as UAE, Turkey, Egypt and Jordan have diplomatic relations with Israel. We must appreciate Saudi Arabia in this regard, as yet Israel has not been recognized by her. Saudi Arabia had announced that she will not recognize Israel until Israel recognizes Palestine. Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia has provided military bases to America and is a veteran American ally. Fascist Donald Trump had appealed to Western countries to send war ships to open the Hormuz Strait. England, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and some other countries have flatly refused to join American war against Iran.

Eminent American political, social and intellectual leaders are condemning the policies of Trump. They say that Iran is no threat to America. Iran is attacking American military bases in Saudi Arabia and Emirates as from these military bases, America is attacking Iran. The Iranian government has announced that Iran has no intention to invade any Muslim country. The Iranian attacks are only on American military bases. It is said that Saudi Arabia has provided a military base to America in Taif, as its border is near to the border of Iran. From here, America has planned to attack Iran.

The travesty of the cunning policy of Trump is as Taif is situated quite close to Mecca and if Iran hits the American military base of Taif, there will be much hue and cry in the Muslim world against Iran. Besides, it is suspected that America will hit Kaaba, and blame Iran to damage this sacred site of Muslims. It seems as Trump and Netanyahu are bent to destroy Muslim countries one by one and are creating circumstances for Third World War.

Donald Trump is trying to save his skin from the case of Epstein Files. He is involved in molestation. He is a womanizer, drunkard, gambler and dictator. He has brought bad name to the Americans. The saner elements of America are fed up of him. Even the Republicans, who elected this clown and corrupt crazy person as their president are ashamed of him. Some sensible Republicans are criticizing him for attacking Iran. They say that he is a stooge and is playing in the hands of Netanyahu.

Recently, an American author and Jewish scholar Jacob Shapiro has severely criticized Netanyahu while being interviewed by a TV Channel. He said the Jews have nothing to do with the plan of Greater Israel. Netanyahu does not represent the Jewish community. He solemnly announced: “We are against wars and the concept of Greater Israel is not a Jewish faith. Netanyahu and Judaism are altogether two different things. Netanyahu does not follow Judaism.”

Actually, his view point is that Netanyahu is a Zionist. It was Theodore Herzl, who gave the idea of Greater Israel. Judaism and Zionism are poles apart.

Summing up, it is appealed to all peace and humanity supporters to raise voice against the inhumane policies and practices of Trump and Netanyahu to save the world from Third World War. We must support the aggressed ones and oppose the aggressors who so ever they may be. America shares pride to be the champion of peace, democracy, justice and humanity. Let madmen like Donald Trump not be permitted to play with American image. Let the Israelis finish the inhumane government of Benjamin Netanyahu and save Israel from the horrors and sufferings of war.
