Sami Hamdi, an expert on MENA region talked about Imran Khan and his impact and contributions for the Muslim World at Islamic Centre of Passaic County. He specifically mentioned Palestine and how effective Imran Khan could have been for the Palestinian cause if he was out of unjustified imprisonment.

He said in a now viral video that Imran Khan had great potential for establishing a strong Muslim Block. At every OIC meeting Imran Khan would bring up Kashmir and Palestine. Imran Khan’s words were having so much impact that Saudi and UAE governments celebrated his toppling. The Saudi government warned Imran Khan to not attend the conference in Kuala Lumpur. US said to the Pakistani Establishment that ‘all will be forgiven if Imran Khan was removed.’

He said he strongly believed that if Imran Khan was in power there would be much louder voice for the Palestinians. What we are seeing in Pakistan is a revolution to push back against the Establishment. He said that don’t tell me that it is not relevant for me as an Arab because it is. Imran Khan’s message resonated with all Muslims, non-Arabs and Arabs alike.

Imran Khan showed us that Pakistan is the key part of the Ummah. When he was in power, he changed the way we thought about Pakistan and the Ummah. The Ummah needs to learn about what’s happening in Pakistan and rally for Imran Khan’s cause. By Allah these borders are artificial and the Ummah is one! If the Pakistanis win in Pakistan there will be a domino effect in the rest of the Muslim World In Sha Allah!
