Straight from the heart!

Assalam o Alaikum.
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favour of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favour, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.
Today, we are as far away from this Quranic order as possible and the result is the situation that we see in many Muslim countries like Iraq, Sudan and Syria today and now in Pakistan as well. The first Islamic month saw a display of, what appeared to be, unprecedented lack of tolerance for other sects. The reality is that the majority of Pakistani Muslims are peace-loving people and not extremists in matters of religion which makes the hands of foreign elements evident in the bloodbath and anarchy that occurred on the Day of Ashura in Rawalpindi. While Shias and Sunnis all over Pakistan were marking the solemn occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the blessed grandson of the Prophet [PBUH], a certain group of people following Takfiri ideology found it the most opportune time to wage havoc in Pakistan in the name of difference of opinion amongst different sects, even when the message of Karbala is for all Muslims; ‘Be a Hussaini and not a Yazidi.’
The question that we all need to ask ourselves is, ‘Who benefits from chaos in Pakistan?’ It is understandably not Pakistani Muslims, whichever sect they belong to! We need to see the larger picture in the context of the international and regional geopolitics and leave our naivety behind. What aggrieved me even more than the debacle in Rawalpindi, is the inability of our nation to recognize the Truth, even when it’s staring them in the face! The din of the confusion is deafening! A particular group of people who try to present themselves as mainstream Islam, even when they have nothing to do with Islam as they are Takfiris, openly incited for violence on Social Media. Unfortunately, we also saw that some Pakistani [sold-out]media-persons furthered the confusion of people by interviewing and consequently highlighting the extremist elements in the country.
Recently, the leader of an ‘Islamic’ party also did not help matters when he put a question mark at the martyrdom of the valiant soldiers of Pakistan Army. It is the greatest of treachery to weaken the state from within by creating doubts in the minds of people about the ideals and moral principles that the country and religion stand for. All these acts show how the enemy wants to use gullible and extremist elements from amongst us to strike at our heart. May Allah have mercy on us and show us the ‘Truth’ of every matter so that we do not fall prey to the propaganda of enemies without and especially the traitors within.
