Kashmir Delegation To UN Geneva Exposes India On Extra-Judicial Killings In Kashmir
GENEVA/ISLAMABAD—Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, APHC leader briefed the UN Special Rapporteur Mr. Christof Heyns, about the ongoing extra-judicial and arbitrary executions by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. More than 93,000 Kashmiri men, women and children have been killed by Indian forces. They are still enjoying the continuous impunity and this situation has drastically increased the human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir. Naqshbandi presented facts and figures and a detailed report of Indian atrocities, to the Special Rapporteur.
The Kashmir Delegation to the 29th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Geneva consists of veteran Kashmir activist Altaf Hussain Wani, Executive Director Youth Forum For Kashmir (YFK) Ahmed Quraishi, senior Kashmir women activist Mrs. Shamim Shawl, Kashmiri rights activist Shagufta Ashraf, Ishtiyaq Hameed, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, and Sardar Amjad Yousaf.
YFK is Pakistan’s first pro-Kashmir, registered and nonpartisan International lobbying group led by young Kashmiris and Pakistanis working to ensure justice to Kashmiris living under Indian-military occupation.
