کیا وہ نہ دیکھتے تھے کہ نہ وہ اُن کی بات کا جواب دیتا ہے اور نہ ان کے نفع و نقصان کا کچھ اختیار رکھتا ہے؟ ہارونؑ (موسیٰؑ کے آنے سے) پہلے ہی ان سے کہہ چکا تھا کہ "لوگو، تم اِس بچھڑے کی وجہ سے فتنے میں پڑ گئے ہو، تمہارا رب تو رحمٰن ہے، پس تم میری پیروی کرو اور میری بات مانو۔" مگر اُنہوں نے اُس سے کہہ دیا کہ ”ہم تو اسی کی پرستش کرتے رہیں گے جب تک کہ موسیٰؑ واپس نہ آ جائے۔“ (سورہ طٰہٰ، 89-91)

21 اپریل: یومِ وفات مصورِ پاكستان ڈاکٹر علامہ محمد اقبال رحمۃ اللہ علیہ

انہوں نے جواب دیا ”ہم نے آپ سے وعدہ خلافی کچھ اپنے اختیار سے نہیں کی، معاملہ یہ ہوا کہ لوگوں کے زیورات کے بوجھ سے ہم لَد گئے تھے اور ہم نے بس اُن کو (آگ میں) پھینک دیا تھا۔“ پھر اِسی طرح سامری نے بھی کچھ ڈالا اور ان کے لیے ایک بچھڑے کی مورت بنا کر نکال لایا جس میں سے بیل کی سی آواز نکلتی تھی لوگ پکار اٹھے "یہی ہے تمہارا خدا اور موسیٰؑ کا خدا، لیكن موسیٰؑ اسے بھول گیا ہے۔" (سورہ طٰہٰ، 87-88)

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا كہ مشرق کی طرف سے کچھ لوگ آئیں گے، جن کے ساتھ سیاہ جھنڈے ہوں گے، وہ خیر طلب کریں گے، لوگ انہیں نہ دیں گے تو وہ لوگوں سے جنگ کریں گے، اور (اللہ کی طرف سے) ان کی مدد ہو گی، پھر وہ جو مانگتے تھے وہ انہیں دیا جائے گا، یہ لوگ اس وقت اپنے لیے حکومت قبول نہ کریں گے یہاں تک کہ میرے اہل بیت میں سے ایک شخص کو یہ حکومت سونپ دیں گے، وہ شخص زمین کو اس طرح عدل سے بھر دے گا جس طرح لوگوں نے اسے ظلم سے بھر دیا تھا، لہٰذا تم میں سے جو شخص اس زمانہ کو پائے وہ ان لوگوں کے ساتھ (لشکر میں) شریک ہو، اگرچہ اسے گھٹنوں کے بل برف پر کیوں نہ چلنا پڑے۔" [سنن ابن ماجه، حدیث 4082]

اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی سَیِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰی اٰلِہٖ وَسَلِّمْ
