اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی سَیِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰی اٰلِہٖ وَسَلِّمْ

جواب میں ارشاد ہوا ”اے نُوح ؑ ، وہ تیرے گھر والوں میں سے نہیں ہے، اس کے کام بالکل ہی ناشائستہ ہیں، لہٰذا تُو اُس بات کی مجھ سے درخواست نہ کر جس کی حقیقت تُو نہیں جانتا، میں تجھے نصیحت کرتا ہوں کہ اپنے آپ کو جاہلوں کی طرح نہ بنا لے۔ نُوح ؑ نے فوراً عرض کیا ”اے میرے ربّ، میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اِس سے کہ وہ چیز تجھ سے مانگوں جس کا مجھے علم نہیں۔ اگر تُو نے مجھے معاف نہ کیا اور رحم نہ فرمایا تو میں خساره پانے والوں میں ہو جاؤں گا۔“ حکم ہوا ”اے نوح ؑ اُتر جا، ہماری طرف سے سلامتی اور برکتیں ہیں تُجھ پر اور ان گروہوں پر جو تیرے ساتھ ہیں، اور کچھ گروہ ایسے بھی ہیں جن کو ہم کچھ مدّت سامانِ زندگی بخشیں گے پھر انہیں ہماری طرف سے درد ناک عذاب پہنچے گا۔”

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ دین کے کاموں میں کون سا عمل افضل ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا ”وقت پر نماز پڑھنا۔“ میں نے پوچھا اس کے بعد؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا ”والدین کے ساتھ نیک سلوک کرنا۔“ میں نے پوچھا اور اس کے بعد؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا ”اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد کرنا۔“ پھر میں نے آپ ﷺ سے زیادہ سوالات نہیں کئے، ورنہ آپ ﷺ اسی طرح ان کے جوابات عنایت فرماتے۔ (صحیح بخاری، حدیث: 2782)

بیٹے نے پلٹ کر جواب دیا "میں ابھی ایک پہاڑ پر چڑھا جاتا ہوں جو مجھے پانی سے بچا لے گا۔" نوحؑ نے کہا، آج کوئی چیز اللہ کے حکم سے بچانے والی نہیں ہے سوائے اِس کے کہ اللہ ہی کسی پر رحم فرمائے۔" اتنے میں ایک موج دونوں کے درمیان حائل ہو گئی اور وہ بھی ڈوبنے والوں میں شامل ہو گیا۔ حکم ہوا ”اے زمین، اپنا سارا پانی نِگل جا اور اے آسمان، رُک جا۔“ چنانچہ پانی زمین میں بیٹھ گیا، فیصلہ چکا دیا گیا، کشتی جودی پر ٹِک گئی، اور کہہ دیا گیا کہ دُور ہوئی ظالموں کی قوم! نُوحؑ نے اپنے ربّ کو پکارا۔ کہا ”اے ربّ، میرا بیٹا میرے گھر والوں میں سے ہے اور تیرا وعدہ سچا ہے اور تُو سب حاکموں سے بڑا اور بہتر حاکم ہے۔“

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ كہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ایک شخص کو قرآن کی آیت اس طرح پڑھتے سنا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ سے میں نے اس كے خلاف سنا تھا (یعنی قرأت کا اختلاف)۔ اس لیے میں ان کا ہاتھ تھامے آپ ﷺ کی خدمت میں لے گیا۔ آپ ﷺ نے (میرا اعتراض سن کر) فرمایا کہ تم دونوں درست ہو۔ شعبہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ آپ ﷺ نے یہ بھی فرمایا کہ اختلاف نہ کرو، کیونکہ تم سے پہلے لوگ اختلاف ہی کی وجہ سے تباہ ہو گئے۔ (صحیح بخاری، حدیث: 2410)
