19th May: Death Anniversary of Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall, the first Englishman to come up with a credible translation of the Quran in English. His translation of the Quran is one of the most widely known and used in the English-speaking world. May his soul rest in peace. اپنے اہل و عیال کو نماز کی تلقین کریں اور خود بھی اُس کے پابند رہیں۔ ہم آپ سے کوئی رزق نہیں چاہتے، رزق تو ہم ہی آپ كو دے رہے ہیں۔ اور بھلا انجام متقی لوگوں ہی کے لیے ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ شخص اپنے ربّ کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی (معجزہ) کیوں نہیں لاتا؟ کیا ان کے پاس پہلی کتابوں کی واضح دلیل نہیں پہنچی؟ (سوره طه، 132-133) یکم ذی الحجۃ: عقد مبارک خاتونِ جنت سیدہ فاطمۃ الزہرا سلام اللہ علیہا اپنے ربّ کی حمد و ثنا کے ساتھ اُس کی تسبیح کریں سُورج نکلنے سے پہلے اور غرُوب ہونے سے پہلے، اور رات کے اوقات میں بھی تسبیح کریں اور دن کے کناروں پر بھی، تاکہ آپ راضی ہو جائیں۔ اور نگاہ اُٹھا کر بھی نہ دیکھیں دُنیوی زندگی کی اُس شان و شوکت کو جو ہم نے اِن میں سے مختلف قسم کے لوگوں کو دے رکھی ہے۔ وہ تو ہم نے اُنہیں آزمائش میں ڈالنے کے لیے دی ہے، اور آپ كے ربّ کا دیا ہوا رزق ہی بہتر اور پائندہ تر ہے۔ (سوره طه، 130-131) اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی سَیِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰی اٰلِہٖ وَسَلِّمْ
