بہت سی بستیاں ہیں جنہیں ہم نے تہ وباﻻ کر دیا اس لئے کہ وه ظالم تھے، پس وه اپنی چھتوں کے بل اوندھی ہوئی پڑی ہیں اور بہت سے آباد کنوئیں بیکار پڑے ہیں اور بہت سے پکے اور بلند محل ویران پڑے ہیں۔ کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں ہیں کہ اِن کے دل سمجھنے والے اور اِن کے کان سُننے والے ہوتے؟ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ آنکھیں اندھی نہیں ہوتیں مگر وہ دل اندھے ہو جاتے ہیں جو سینوں میں ہیں۔ (سوره الحج، 45-46)

(اے نبیؐ) اگر یہ لوگ آپ کو جھٹلاتے ہیں تو ان سے پہلے نوح کی قوم اور عاد وثمود بھی (اپنے پیغمبروں کو) جھٹلا چکے ہیں، اور قوم ابراہیمؑ اور قوم لوطؑ بھی۔ اور اہلِ مَدیَن بھی جھُٹلا چکے ہیں اور موسیٰؑ بھی جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں۔ ان سب منکرینِ حق کو میں نے پہلے مہلت دی، پھر پکڑ لیا۔ اب دیکھ لو کہ میرا عذاب کیسا (سخت) تھا۔ (سوره الحج، 42-44)

اللہ ضرور اُن لوگوں کی مدد کرے گا جو اس کی مدد کریں گے۔ بے شك اللہ بڑا طاقتور اور بڑے غلبے واﻻ ہے۔ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں اگر ہم زمین میں اقتدار بخشیں تو وہ نماز قائم کریں گے، زکوٰة دیں گے، اچھے كاموں کا حکم دیں گے اور برے كاموں سے منع کریں گے۔ اور تمام معاملات کا انجامِ کار اللہ کے ہاتھ میں ہے۔ (سوره الحج، 40-41)
