Kashmir Delegation Arrives At UN Geneva, Major Activities Expected

GENEVA/ISLAMABAD—A six-member delegation of Kashmiri human rights defenders representing several international organizations arrives Geneva, Switzerland today to take part in 30th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
The Kashmir delegation at the UN will engage the international community to check Indian human rights violations in Kashmir, underline the urgency of Kashmir resolution, and create a global coalition to alleviate human suffering in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
On Thursday, 17th September 2015 the Kashmir delegation, Kashmiri diaspora from all over the Europe and a large number of people are going to demonstrate in front of UN building in Geneva for their basic right of self-determination under UNSC resolutions.
The Kashmir Delegation consists of Altaf Hussain Wani-Delegation leader and senior Kashmir freedom leader, senior APHC leader-Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Sardar Amjad Yousaf Khan-Executive Director Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR), Ahmed Quraishi-Executive Director Youth Forum For Kashmir (YFK); an international Kashmir Lobbying Group, Prof. Shagufta Ashraf-human rights defender working with women & children and Zartasha Niazi-human rights defender.
