India Rebuked by World Media on Kashmir

By Dr. Maqsood Jafri

India has intensified the reign of terror in Indian Occupied Kashmir and Indian uncouth and brutal forces are targeting the civilian population of Azad Kashmir on one hand and on the other are bestially massacring the freedom fighters and innocent defenseless civilians in Kashmir.

I think it necessary to state that the Kashmiris are suffering till today on account of what Indian stooges and traitors like Sheikh Abdullah, Ghulam Mohammad Bakhshi , Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti did with them.

Now, Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are licking the wounds and shedding crocodile tears on the Indian barbaric acts in Kashmir. The Kashmiris have launched unprecedented struggle for the achievement of their right to Self-determination granted to them by UN. The Kashmiris have linked their destiny with Pakistan. On July 19, 1947, the resolution of Accession to Pakistan was passed in Srinagar at the residence of Sardar Mohammad Ibrahim Khan.

On Oct 18, 2020, APHC reiterated to fight Indian aggression in Kashmir. In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has condemned the Indian aggression against the innocent people of Kashmir and reiterated that despite all difficulties and tribulations, they would continue to fight it.

The APHC in a meeting with General Secretary, Bashir Ahmed in chair, vowed to continue the struggle in accordance with the guiding principles and added that under no circumstances India would be allowed to succeed in its nefarious designs. The unprecedented sacrifices of the Kashmiris for freedom would not go waste and their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion.

At United Nations, Pakistan has warned the international community that India’s aggressive policies and military posture posed an immediate threat to world peace and security. Speaking in the general debate, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Munir Akram said India had nuclearized the Indian Ocean, deployed anti- ballistic missiles and is constantly increasing the range, sophistication and diversification of all types of delivery systems and platforms.

I would like to ask the UN that Chapter 6 of its Charter says that Kashmir issue should be resolved amicably by both countries as it is a bilateral issue. If it is not being resolved, then with the mutual consent both India and Pakistan can appoint an arbitrator. If even then the issue is not amicably resolved and there is menace of war, then the Chapter 7 of the UN Charter will automatically apply on the aggressor country.

According to Chapter 7, the economic sanctions will be imposed on the aggressor country. The diplomatic relations will be severed with that country. As a last resort military action will be taken against the aggressor country. Who is the aggressor? The reports of all Plebiscite Administrators appointed by UN to resolve Kashmir issue by free, transparent and impartial plebiscite say that India never cooperated with them.

The book of Joseph Karbol titled “Danger in Kashmir“, unveils the gruesome and hypocritical face of India. It must be seriously noted that India and Pakistan already had three wars on Kashmir. Presently , both the countries are nuclear power. India is threatening Pakistan and is daily attacking the Pakistani and Kashmiri civilians across the border. Is UN waiting for nuclear war between India and Pakistan?

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a recent statement said that Kashmir is burning and an effort is being made to suppress the voice of Kashmiris through different tactics including communication blackout. He, further, stressed that Pakistan will continue to provide moral, diplomatic and political support to the oppressed Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to Self- determination.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Imran Khan on National Security Dr. Moeed Yusuf also said that India has endangered regional peace and stressed on the amicable resolution of Kashmir issue. He vowed that Pakistan will never compromise on Kashmir and Kashmir Issue must be resolved in accordance with the desire of Kashmiris and UN resolutions.

Pakistan has rejected the unwarranted and tendentious comments of Indian External Affairs Minister blaming Pakistan for the current state of bilateral relations. The Pakistan Foreign Ministry categorically rejected the Indian official statement. This statement reflects on its own its egregious behavior marked by illegal and unilateral actions taken by India in Kashmir by revoking articles 370 and 35-A from Indian constitution. Besides, the genocide of the Kashmiris in so called encounters and cordon-and-search operations is a travesty and reflective of the moral bankruptcy of the Indian leadership headed by fascist Narendra Modi and BJP.

The Indian Defence Minister Rajanth Singh has recently bragged that India can face and fight against China and Pakistan at a time. He lives in the paradise of fools. As the world has started condemning Indian atrocities and oppression on Kashmiris, India has closed the offices of International Amnesty in Bangalore, New Delhi and in some other cities and states.

Eminent journalists and intellectuals have condemned Indian ferocious and fascist policies in Indian occupied Kashmir. Mani Shankar Aliyar in his article of October 7, 2020 in The Wire writes:

“This is the extent to which Modi and Shah have driven seven million Kashmiris up the wall. And with the new domicile laws endangering the demographic composition of both Union Territories, fear and apprehension have overtaken all three regions of the erstwhile state – Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, including both Muslim majority Kargil and Buddhist majority Leh. If the situation is not rectified , “Intifada” and worse can overtake the tri- junction of India, China and Pakistan.”

I hope the Indian Defense Minister comprehends the severity of the matter narrated by Mani Shankar and comes to senses before it is too late.
